A Touch of Finesse

An unusually early budbreak at the beginning of April was quickly followed by a cold snap that inflicted frost damage the likes of which the Mosel had never before seen. The result: exceptionally small yields for the 2017 harvest.
Despite a rocky start, the ripening period proved thankfully uncomplicated. The warm and dry conditions of late summer encouraged beautiful ripe fruit and fantastic acidity levels. While 2017 will be remembered as a notably small harvest, keep an eye out for any bottles you might encounter — as they promise tremendous minerality and finesse.
