Robert Parker Wine Advocate Reviews about vintage 2021

94 Points – 2021 Trittenheimer APOTHEKE Riesling Auslese: “(…) offers a clear and still-reductive but also raisiny bouquet of overripe and dried botrytis fruits intermingled with iodine, slate and fresh grapefruit aromas. Round, lush and refined on the palate, this is a very elegant, crystalline and savory Auslese with texture and roundness. A very elegant and digestible Auslese with excellent aging potential.”

93 Points – 2021 Trittenheimer APOTHEKE Riesling Spätlese: “(…) is still a bit reductive after the bottling in mid-June but shows deep, intense and mineral fruit behind the haze that is intermingled with iodine salt and butter-roasted risotto aromas. Lush and sweet but also savory and saline on the palate, this is round and relatively generous and substantial Spätlese with ripe and concentrated fruit and fine mineral grip on the finish. It is still very young and somewhat masked but promising.”

92+ Points – 2021 Trittenheimer APOTHEKE Riesling Kabinett: “(…) From plots that are located higher up, which ripen six days later than the plots of the dry wine, and picked in early November, the 2021 (…) offers a clear, precise, deep, very elegant, refined and stony bouquet of bright fruits. Round, crystalline and pure on the palate, this is a lush yet savory and finessed, very elegant and mineral Kabinett with moderate sweetness and a crisp finish.”

91 Points – 2021 Neumagener ROSENGÄRTCHEN Riesling Kabinett: “(…) is from weathered, less stony slate soils in a steep vineyard between Apotheke and Neumagen. Clear and elegant on the aromatic and open-hearted but fine and iodine-scented bouquet, this is a round, lush and elegant, refined and balanced Kabinett with already-accessible fruit and sweetness. This is charming, especially with sushi and other lighter but spicy Asian dishes.”

91 Points – 2021 Trittenheimer APOTHEKE Riesling trocken: “From up to 100-year-old vines on single poles cultivated on steep terraces, the 2021 Trittenheimer Apotheke Riesling trocken offers an intense, well-concentrated and stony bouquet of ripe yet not super ripe fruits intertwined with discreet iodine and leafy notes. Fresh and grippy on the palate, with green paprika and lime notes, this is a dry but textured and structured dry Riesling with fine grip and a characteristic saline purity on the finish. A substantial, promising Apotheke.”

90 Points – 2021 Piesporter GOLDTRÖPFCHEN Riesling: “offers a clear, flinty and aromatic yet still a bit reductive nose of ripe and lush Riesling fruits intertwined with weathered slate aromas. Lush and savory on the palate, this is a pure, stimulatingly saline and crystalline Riesling that boarders on dry to off-dry. Appetizing and already accessible for the moment.”

90 Points – 2021 Trittenheimer Riesling Kabinett: “offers a clear, fine, beautifully pure, leafy and passion fruit-scented bouquet of white fruits, algae, iodine and crushed slate. Round yet light and savory on the palate, this is a lush, mouthfilling and saline-finishing Riesling in the off-dry to medium-sweet style. The (…) residual sugar does not taste sweet but round and fruity, showing an almost creamy texture. Well-balanced and light, this is an excellent and authentic Kabinett (…).”
